Description
This work is a video performance version of her art project titled Ones Who Look at The Presence. Otty presents colonial film archives, through projections on paper screens, constructed through gestures, sounds and space. The audience is invited to imagine how performers construct the screen through body movements. Then, the projection of colonial footage is presented. After a while, Otty burned the screen, while the projection continued until the end of the show.
Karya ini merupakan versi video performance dari proyek seni Otty Widasari Ones Who Look at The Presence. Otty menghadirkan arsip film masa kolonial, melalui proyeksi pada layar kertas, yang dikonstruksi melalui gerak tubuh, bebunyian dan ruang. Penonton diajak untuk mengimajinasikan bagaimana performer mengkonstruksi layar melalui gerakan tubuh. Kemudian, dihadirkan proyeksi footage masa kolonial. Setelah beberapa saat, Otty membakar layar tersebut, sembari proyeksi terus berjalan hingga akhir pertunjukan.
